HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM EVERYONE HERE AT CASTLEBURY! This is truly my favorite time of year, especially when it works out to be a low-key Christmas like this year. We’ll be home for Christmas, and we look forward to another cozy holiday together. We will spend New Year’s in McCall with my wife’s family, where we will celebrate the passing of another year and look back on all of our accomplishments in 2016.
We started 2016 off by beginning the slow transition of our family sports and activities from indoors to outdoors. We went from basketball to soccer, track, and tennis, and all the training that comes with it.
Also at the beginning of the year, my wife and I took a beautiful trip to the Bahamas for some rest and relaxation and to celebrate our anniversary. Spring turned to summer, and that meant we were able to spend some quality time with Melissa. She came home from college for a while before leaving again, this time for her mission in Guam. The whole family took a farewell trip to Little Switzerland, aka Joseph, Oregon, and we had a blast wakeboarding in McCall before finally seeing Melissa off the following week.
To top off the hot season, we conquered fears of rafting with a whitewater trip from Banks with the Bear Valley Rafting Company, and I took some really beneficial continued education courses in Park City and South Jordan, Utah. We did a little accidental storm chasing back in the Bahamas after Hurricane Matthew blew through and spent the autumn season planning our Veterans Day of Dentistry, serving vets in our community. That ended up being an even bigger success than we’d dreamed it would be.
Looking back on everything that we’ve accomplished this year (both at work and at play), it’s hard to believe we were able to get so much done with all the fun we were having. But we did it, and it’s all because of you! Thank you for your continued support, your awesome feedback and referrals, your dedication to our beautiful community, and for making 2016 such an incredible year. I’m really looking forward to everything the new year has in store, and I can’t wait to continue our relationship with you and your family. Whatever you decide to do this year for Christmas, I hope you make the most of every moment! Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
