This coming weekend, as well as over the last month, there has been a greater emphasis on honoring our parents for Mother’s and Father’s Day. This has me thinking about my own role as a father of 5 daughters.
We Appreciate Parents
At our offices, we understand what it means to be a parent. So we try our hardest to make it easy to schedule appointments that work into your busy schedule, like early mornings, lunch hours, and evenings. Call us and ask about our extended hours.
We recently offered fathers a special surprise for coming in during the week leading up to Father’s Day. There might still be time if you want to schedule an appointment!
The bottom line is that, as a parent, it’s very important for you to take care of yourself too. When your children see the value you place on your health and well-being, they will follow your example.
And when you are playing with your great-grandkids – you’ll be doing so with a full set of your own teeth!
A Proud Father And A Healthy Lifestyle
I myself am a very proud father to 5 daughters. My oldest, Melissa, just finished her junior year in High School and my youngest, Brooklyn, just completed 1st grade. In between them are Allie, Britney, and Nicole.
They are all very athletic. We enjoy being outside and being active as often as we can. We love these Boise summers! They are participating in soccer, track, and tennis, to name a few.
I’ve encouraged my daughters to be very active. I haven’t just done this in word, I’ve set an example for them. Last year I participated in a half ironman. My wife did a half marathon. This year, I am doing a 200-mile bike trip.
Dental and overall health are the best priorities you can have when raising kids. I know they are learning good habits now. Not to mention taking care of my health gives me a better chance of being around to watch them grow up and have their own children.
