HAPPY THANKSGIVING from Dr. Brown and the entire Castlebury Dental crew! We are really looking forward to spending a few relaxing days with our family down in Utah for the holiday, and of course, the young cousins in the family are all looking forward to their big gift exchange — sort of an early Christmas tradition since everyone will be in one place at that time. This year, I’m so grateful for all of them, the wonderful people they’ve become, and for the opportunity to get together under one roof again.
I’m also endlessly thankful for my fantastic team here at the practice and their dedication to giving back to our community. As most of you know, we recently had our Veterans Day of Dentistry, where we teamed up with Service Never Stops to provide servicemen and servicewomen with a free day of dentistry. Having served in the Army as a dentist, I had the chance to see the many sacrifices that our troops make. That experience gave me a very deep appreciation for the military. This event was a first for us, but it certainly won’t be the last, as many professionals happily answered our call to participate. Our lab donated a denture for a patient who desperately needed it, and we were really humbled by the companies and people who were so willing and grateful to help out.
Thank you again to everyone in the community who offered their time and resources to this event. Veterans Day was really a great day, and this day of dentistry will be something we do every year now. Hopefully we’ll expand it to include even more services and more doctors, as well. I hold veterans’ issues really close to my heart, so we’re always looking for ways to give back and do more to help our vets.
This year, as I gather the family to sit down for a delicious meal and talk about all that we’ve been blessed with, I’m exceptionally grateful to all of my wonderful patients — all of you — for your continued support and your involvement in making the Treasure Valley such a great place to live and work. I hope you, too, can share a lovely meal with the people you care about. While you’re at it, don’t forget to thank the people in our community who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
Cheers to all of you!
